Position Purpose: The Manager, Administrative Services upholds and administers all services functions for the health plan, inclusive of overseeing daily operations of the Claims and ensures adherence to Health Choice policy and procedure and contractual and regulatory guidelines for claims.


  • Administrative Services assists all departments within the health plan by receiving, sorting, distributing, scanning, batching and delivering all mail. Preparing large printing and mail out jobs is an essential part of this position in addition to any other clerical functions that need to be completed.
  • Responsible for maintenance on printers, copiers, folder and stuffer machinery
  • Oversee daily activities to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Ensures policies and procedures are relevant and updated
  • Ensures appropriate work distribution
  • Implements and maintains work flow production and quality standards
  • Works with Documentation/Training staff to ensure appropriate new and on-going training
  • Resolve staff issues related to claims operations, inclusive of HR issues and resolutions
  • Plan, monitor and mentor staff and evaluate performance
  • Holds regular meetings and in-services with staff
  • Achieve financial objectives
  • Develop and maintain working relationship with other Departmental supervisors

Education / Experience / Other Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or commensurate experience in lieu of degree

Years of Experience:

  • 3 years in large organization administrative/clerical support
  • 3 years working with standard equipment, eg, copy machine, fax machine, mail sorter, postage machine
  • 5 years team oversight or supervisory experience

Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and quickly transition from task-to-task
  • Computer experience necessary, including Microsoft products
  • Effective management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate
  • Work respectfully and positively with others
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work tasks to adhere to deadlines and identified time frames
  • Handle multiple and changing priorities at a fast pace
