Local Network Manager
The Local Network Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust recruiting and retention strategies for Steward Health Care Network in our new and existing markets.

The incumbent will provide the leadership and expertise needed to develop and implement a medical manpower plan to support the strategic, operational, financial, and clinical objectives of Steward Health Care Network. This responsibility will be accomplished in partnership with their direct report, the Regional Executive Director of Operations, and Hospital Presidents in consideration of their market's needs along with other key internal stakeholders. He/She will coordinate the activities related to network development including recruitment, network development, and project management.
This position oversees and is responsible to provide education, training, and management to achieve established goals within their assigned Chapter(s), including network adequacy, achieving membership growth targets, meeting financial parameters for medical expenses, and financial performance within the Chapter. Frequent travel to Provider offices is required. This position requires initiative and assertiveness when dealing with Chapter goals and performance. Sound and objective decision making must be exercised in all interactions with providers, payer partners, and internal departments. This position also leads Network initiatives such as provider education for new payer implementation, opt-in processing, etc.

Bachelor's degree in relevant field (or equivalent combination of education and experience); Master's degree preferred
At least ten (10) years as a senior leader in a managed care environment of a similar capacity including negotiating a wide range of performance-based arrangements
Management / supervisory experience required
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; proven ability to learn new systems is necessary
Understanding of the health care delivery setting including both hospital and physician reimbursement and claims processing
