Job Description

The Training Specialist trains staff on all activities related to claims processing, customer service, documentation, policies and procedures.  This position also develops and monitors the efficiency and usefulness of the desktop reference systems and manuals, recommends updates to policies to increase productivity, elevates current staff for accuracy and skill, identifies and addresses individual or departmental training needs.

 

This position has an emphasis on claims processing for the Reimbursement Services Department.  The Training Specialist will develop and administer claims processing training, assist in the oversight of the daily operations of the Claims Department, and ensure adherence to Health Choice policy and procedure and contractual guidelines for claims administration.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED

Some college in business or health care

Ability to lead others

Med MC and Care Radius experience

At least two (2) years supervisory experience

At least two (2) years claim processing experience in HCFA 1500s and UB92s or Medical Claims Billing
